Dr. Melody White
I’m Dr. Melody White, a seasoned technology expert with a passion for helping businesses navigate the complexities of today’s tech landscape. Through my consulting and corporate training services, I guide companies in optimizing their processes and automating operations, saving them both time and money. I’m also a sought-after speaker, available for a variety of speaking engagements. As the founder and owner of On Your Side Technologies, I’m proud of our motto: “We Make Technology Our Life, So You Don’t Have To Make It Yours.”
I have always had a fascination with technology. When I was younger I would take things apart because I wanted to know how things worked. Everything from alarm clocks to toasters. The day I asked my Dad how the television worked, he hid the tools. In defense of myself, I would put the items back together – most of the time. My parents realized how much I enjoyed gadgets and purchased me robots, video games, and other electronics to play with. My love of technology started when I was in third grade. When we finished our work we could either play with toys or the computer in the corner. The first time I touched the Tandy computer I was in technology love!
With extensive experience working with businesses of all sizes, I specialize in delivering solutions that drive efficiency and growth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I played a key role in helping non-profits revamp their websites and operations to continue serving their clients effectively. I also guided businesses in navigating social media to maintain customer engagement, leading to increased customer growth as businesses reopened. My clients span the globe, and I’m proud to have supported their success.
I’ve spent over 30 years in the technology sector, holding roles such as Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, Switch Engineer, Software Engineer, and International IT Project Manager. As a Switch Engineer in telecommunications, my coding skills opened doors to global opportunities in training, where I developed and taught coding and debugging courses. I later transitioned into academia, sharing my knowledge with students eager to learn.
For more than 20 years, I’ve successfully run an IT consulting firm that specializes in website design, programming, custom software development—including mobile applications—and comprehensive IT consulting in areas like networking and process improvement through technology. My research interests include artificial intelligence and programming. I’ve also contributed my expertise to the National Technology Committee for Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., served on the Southwestern Delta Region Technology Committee for the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, and consulted for ISD’s technology board.
